Skin Science:
From the 28th week of pregnancy and at birth, nature protects the skin’s
surface with a waxy substance of tallow-like origin called Vernix caseosa
(Vernix is the Latin word for varnish). Vernix is the first, still immature
skin barrier of prenatal skin. It consists of water, lipids, and proteins.
Its physical and biological properties are remarkable. The formulation of
Crème Masque Vernix closely replicates the original composition of Vernix to
combat skin dryness and regenerate the epidermis.
1. Apply to the cleansed skin every morning and/or evening. Gently massage the face, neck, and décolleté until fully absorbed.
2. For use as a mask, after cleansing, apply a thin layer to the face, neck, and décolleté. Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently remove any excess with a damp cotton pad.
